By ordering from AweSum Cakes you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

Lead Times

All custom cakes involving design discussions would require a minimum lead time of 2 weeks, after confirmation. Please note that the sooner the order is placed, the better it is for us to commit time for discussions, order for required ingredients/accessories, and plan and execute the details. So if you have detailed design requirements it is recommended to get in touch with us much ahead of time so we have enough time for discussions.

Short notice orders

If you require a cake at a short notice of fewer than 2 weeks, we do offer a variety of ready designs suitable for various occasions that can be chosen from this page. Note that this is subject to our availability as we can cater only to a limited number of orders each week.

Deposit and Payment policy

For custom orders, a minimum 50% deposit (via Bankgiro or Swish) is required to confirm the booking. No order is confirmed until a deposit has been paid & received. Once the deposit has been paid, the quoted price remains fixed for the details agreed. The balance of payment is due (via Bankgiro or Swish) one week prior to delivery. Orders will not be delivered or completed unless paid in full. If placing a short notice order within that two-week period, then FULL payment is due & payable for this order to proceed.

Cancellation

You may cancel a cake order at any time provided the cancellation is communicated to us in writing. As this incurs administrative costs, lost business, and impacts on our commitment to other customers, we will apply cancellation charges as follows:
Cancellation charge (percentage of the total price)
14 days or more before collection date – 10%
7-13 days before collection date – 50%
6 days or less before collection date – 100%

Rescheduling

If you are currently booked with us and wish to reschedule or downsize your order due to unforeseen circumstances, then we will happily take care of this for you, with no penalty, provided we are available for the changed date. However, a minimum 5-day notice is required for this option.

Availability

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to cancel your order in the event that:
a) we experience supply chain issues outside of our control resulting in insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;
b) illness / health issues
c) other unforeseen circumstances
If we do cancel your order we will notify you and refund any sums paid as soon as possible.

Food allergies

We offer a range of cakes made with the gluten-free sponge and can also cater to vegans, however, all our cakes are baked and decorated in the same kitchen. We try to make allergy-friendly cakes with the utmost care, separately as much as possible but there may be traces of allergens like Milk, Eggs, Gluten, Nuts, etc. Food allergy information is available on request. We cannot be responsible for any incidents involving personal food allergies.

Damage

If for some reason the cake has been damaged when it has left our premises (whilst in your care), or after delivery to the venue, then we take no responsibility. However, if you request an emergency call-out, we will endeavor to restore the cake to its original presentation, at an agreed call-out fee.

Design Variations

Please understand if a picture/image is supplied, then in some cases, it may be necessary to change color or vary a product from the picture as certain items may be unavailable from time to time. Also since each element is handmade, there will be a change based on the artist’s style. Most importantly the pictures will be used as design reference only and we CAN NOT and WILL NOT copy from the picture. If there is a specific color or design element that you particularly want to be incorporated in, be sure to mention it. We will try to replicate what we can, within our limits.
